This lot is fair trade and organic certified. As far as the cup, coffee from the island of Bali is not a funky, earthy coffee like Sumatra and Sulawesi; it has a cleaner cup profile, and is something I would call a “quintessential crowd-pleasing coffee”. The flavors in the cup definitely have an initial hint of its Indonesian roots, then tropical fruit, melon, berry, and caramel. It doesn’t spike in scoring at any point; it is a balanced cup. Body and a surprising sweetness are key here.
